The Korea Institute of Child Care and Education (KICCE) held the 1st Infant and Toddler Future Forum on August 20, 2025 (Wednesday) at the Institute’s main conference hall in Jung-gu, Seoul.

At this forum, Dr. Yeonho Kim from the Center for Preclinical and Behavioral Modeling, Uniformed Services University (U.S. Department of Defense), delivered a lecture on the theme “Understanding Traumatic Brain Injury.”

The lecture covered the definition of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), major affected groups, its characteristics and significance, and preventive measures. It also highlighted the similarities and differences between TBI and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The session concluded with a Q&A focusing on issues related to infants and young children, diagnostic technologies and assessment tools, and expected developments in future treatment approaches.
