The Korea Institute of Child Care and Education (KICCE) held the “KICCE–CNAES Meeting” on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the KICCE Main Conference Room. The meeting was convened to share the current status of early childhood education and care policies in Korea and China and to promote mutual understanding through exchange.

From KICCE, Eunseol Kim, Head of the Office of Fertility Support Policy Research; Keun Jin Kim, Head of the Global Cooperation Research Team; and Jiwon Kim, Associate Research Fellow, attended. From the China National Academy of Education Sciences (CNAES), Liu Guihua, Vice President; Li Tiean, Research Fellow; Niu Nansen, Research Fellow; Sun Qiangqiang, Research Fellow; and Bao Haogang, Associate Research Fellow, participated.

Participants engaged in extensive discussions on the two countries’ early childhood education and care systems, teacher preparation, and policy directions. They also exchanged views on holding joint seminars and exploring possibilities for joint research in areas such as child development, curriculum implementation and outcomes, teacher preparation, and school system restructuring.
